Detecting the Area of Bovine Cumulus Oocyte Complexes Using Deep Learning and Semantic Segmentation

چکیده

The cumulus-oocyte complex (COC) is an oocyte surrounded by specialized granulosa cells, called cumulus cells. cells surrounding the ensure healthy and embryo development. maturity of COCs at retrieval may be used as indicator to predict outcome assisted reproductive technology (ART). Segmenting a preliminary step in many image processing pipelines evaluate maturity. However, acquiring well-annotated bright-field microscopy datasets remains time-consuming inaccurate procedure, for most biological domains. Additionally, specialists often partially disagree on their annotations, not only among each other, but also own leading inconsistent outcome. Despite recent advancements deep learning segmentation tools biomedical images, there limited usage them having more accurate automated procedures. In this work, we propose pipeline segment bovine images. results our evaluation show that able with same level quality provided human experts.

Effect of Different Harvesting Techniques on the Recovery and Quality of Bovine Cumulus Oocyte Complexes

This study investigated the effect of different harvesting techniques on the recovery rate and quality of bovine cumulus oocyte complexes (COCs) and their subsequent developmental competence including in vitro maturation, fertilization and blastocyst formation. The COCs were retrieved from slaughter ovaries using aspiration, slicing, or aspiration followed by slicing. The COCs were examined mic...

P-110: Effect of Increasing Amount of Oocyte Secreted Factors on Cumulus Expansion of Bovine Cumulus-Oocyte Complexes

Background: In vitro maturation is a good method to decrease cancer risk of superovulation by gonadotropin hormones. A paracrine effect of oocyte secretions on oocyte developmental competence is under investigation. Apart from oocyte maturation, ovulation in vivo requires a precise control of extracellular matrix modification. Cumulus cells secrete hyaluronan to form a muco-elastic extracellula...

9-cis Retinoic acid inhibits cumulus cell apoptosis during the maturation of bovine cumulus-oocyte-complexes.

Cumulus cell (CC) apoptosis is inversely correlated with embryonic development in vitro. Therefore, inhibition of CC apoptosis is important for proper embryonic development and quality. Retinoic acids (all-transRA and 9-cisRA) are natural components of retinoids, and 9-cisRA is the physiologically active metabolite of retinoic acid in vitro. During in vitro maturation, 9-cisRA enhances oocyte c...

on the comparison of keyword and semantic-context methods of learning new vocabulary meaning

the rationale behind the present study is that particular learning strategies produce more effective results when applied together. the present study tried to investigate the efficiency of the semantic-context strategy alone with a technique called, keyword method. to clarify the point, the current study seeked to find answer to the following question: are the keyword and semantic-context metho...
